Guilty Crown Impressions

The first 4 mins of the first episode were beautiful to listen to, with Euterpe on the background. OP, ED and insert songs were composed by ryo and his supercell team. Simply put, a virus gets out of comtrol, an organisation steps in to handle it and takes over Japan, our hero boy Ouma Shu somehow inherit the Void Genome who allows him to draw out voids (think of voids as unique weapons that Shu can use) from people as he works alongside the Funeral Parlor resistance group. Interesting until I watched Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon

境界線上のホライゾン / Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon - Impressions and goods

http://genesis-horizon.net/
Took me awhile to get to watching it but the current few episodes were pretty awesome. Based on the light novel (which was ridiculously thick, see below) by Kawakami Minori and drawn by Satoyasu
The major problem with the series is probably the pacing and development for the first few episodes. You're introduced to the whole Class 3-Plum students (more than 10 at once) whose names you won't remember for 1/2 the show, a history that isn't exactly easy to absorb, with a Sengoku period setting and a plot that doesn't move until the 1/2 of the show. The characters are all drawn rather uniquely, especially the girls with the tight fitting body suits as their uniforms as the main form of fanservice. Designs-wise, the few guys pale in comparison to the girls, who looks and personality will fit most of typical anime stereotypes. I'm really liking Honda Futayo, Neito Mitotsudaira and Honda Masazumi. Definately ranks among my top for the current season. Needs a 2nd season too

I question whether you can call them "light" novels. The latest 5 seem pretty fat

Cospa goods up for pre-orders. First up the half human half wolf knight, Neito Mitotsudaira. Yes, first impression would most likely be the insane drill hair she sports. I'm really tempted to get it. I might get one to keep and one to use my my daki cover

Next is P-01s or Horizon Ariadust. One of the big boobs girl in the series and has a rather fine ass. Slight urge to get but probably will skip. If Cospa is released the dual yuri witches, Malgot and Malga or Honda Futayo I'll get it

Blogger, I have returned!

To quote Anavel Gato...
Been away for along while without updating, Mostly on the PS3 and PC gaming away. Super Robot Wars Z2, Queen's Gate, Tales of Xillia, Hyper Dimension Neptune Mk2, Sengoku Basara 3 Utage. Barely even watched anime for the past few months, except probably some episodes of the loli-licious Ro-kyu-bu. Hinata and Ogura Yui are a deadly combination, moe overload
So until mid November I was really busy playing Dragon Nest SEA. But lately my friends haven't really come online so I'm getting a little bit of free time to do other things. Time to catch up on watching Steins Gate, Guilty Crown, and getting to finishing my Sasara route for the PS3 To Heart 2 DX Plus

 Omake

Tales of Xillia got a new company to do the animations, ufotable who were responsible for Kara no Kyokai, Black Rock Shooter the Game OP. Progress is sung by Hamasaki Ayumi. Awesome to watch, and I prefer Mira's version instead of Jude

銀の刻のコロナ Battle PV

The level of eroges are really increasing over the years, the company Eternal
http://www.eternal-will.jp/top.html has caught my atention with their previous game Tenkuu no Yumina and the Yumina FD. People who have played the SPirit of Eternity Sword series (Eien no Aselia and Seinakurana) should feel right at home playing it. The battle scenes may lok cute but the effects can be on par with Super Robot Wars and Disgaea

Scandal autograph session

Internet connection has been down since yesterday night. Got d/c while playing Dragon Nest. Had to switch to Tales of Xillia
Yesterday at 313's HMV, there was a Scandal autograph session at 7-8pm. Queue was longer than I expected. However I did manage to get a few shots with my weak hp camera. Been raging that night since I couldn't get a nice shot of Rina. Getting to see the girls up close, hearing them say thank you and getting tgeir autographs was more than enough reward for me. Still pissed about not getting a Rina shot. Chances are internet will still be down when I get back due to tomorrow's fibre optic cable upgrading
Tonight and tomorrow, Scandal will be performing at the Lasalle College of the Arts. Looking forward to it

Dragon Nest SEA

Been playing Dragon Nest SEA for a few weeks now, although it's now currently in beta. Mostly using my lvl 24 acrobat but have a lvl 24 priest for Minotaur Nest runs. Since Gay Tat was the one who said to play it, we're usually together. What I didn't expect was that another friend of mine, Derrick also started playing recently. Since the level cap is 24, there's not much to do other than farm for items and do nest runs

This video was the main reason why I chose to use a acrobat

Spoils of ACME III

The eco bag that I got from buying the C80 bag set. Neko Fate is so adorable

The most expensive item I bought ar ACME. A Fate Testarossa tapestry drawn by Kanna. A rather beautiful tapestry if you ask me. The cloth material is fine and smooth. What's more it's of Fate, it's a little expensive at $120 but worth paying for it in my book

My main reason for buying the C80 bag set. An autograph of Kanna together with a beautifully drawn picture of Fate Testarrosa. Priceless in my book, I'm gonna frame it up eventually. What's with all the Fate related items I wonder... Fate is an extremely popular character

My autographed Akai Ito CD signed by Suara herself. Probably my only other CD signed by a known singer. The other being Shoko-tan

29.8.11

Suara updates her blog

So she did more songs than what was listed on the pamplet. Not that I'm complaining. I'm hoping she would come back and perform again in Singapore
The picture of Suara on the plane was interesting. A new form of cosplay mask?

28.8.11

ACME III after thoughts - Suara performance

Suara's performance took place inside the Suntec Meeting Room 325-326. Seat was B-15. 2nd row from the front with a great view to see Suara live in the flesh. The list of songs she performed

Performance set list
Musouka
Akai Ito
Mai Ochiru Yuki no You ni
Powder Snow
Free and Dream
haunting melody
Hikari no Kisetsu
Seiza
Kimi ga Tame
Ichibanboushi
Tomoshibi
adamant faith
Friends
 Encore: Musouka

Well her voice for one, didn't disappoint. I was just happy to hear her perform live. I'd say the songs that I enjoyed the most were Kimi ga Tame and Seiza. Strange that Kimi ga Tame and Ichibanboushi wasn't listed in the pamphlet. Her MC was interesting as she talked about her arrival in Singapore, the places she visited, that she was touched by how many turned up to watch her sing and proceeded to cry a few tears of joy (quite visible times when looking at her eyes considering how close I was sitting). The best part? She said she'll come back and perform again in Singapore. Wahoo!!! A likely candidate for a future AFA performance? After singing Friends, she came back after our incessant "ENCORE" screaming and sang Musouka again. Only this time, the crowd sang along with her and she came down the stage and walked around the room. Afterwards, Suara was seen busy taking photographs outside the meeting room. Hell, she was game to take photos with everyone until the crowd dispersed. How's that for fanservice? Uh no, not that fanservice but I was touched with how she treated her fans. The autograph and handshake session, the encore part where she walked near us while singing, and the "photo-taking" session. Before I was just someone who enjoyed her voice, now I'm a fan of her voice, with a new found respect for her as a person and a singer. It was a good $120 spent and I thank the staff and people who made this possible
Eh, I'll probably get the post of attending STGCC and the Itou Shizuka event up soon as well as pictures from STGCC and ACME III. A picture taken with Suara as well as getting her autograph is priceless in my book, as a collector of sorts and a fan. MUHAHAHA, I think I'm still a little high so I'll stop here

27.8.11

ACME III on-site updates

Chara Fest was really terrible this year. I probably waited close to 3 hours before it was my turn. The BRS bag set and Shining Wind stationery set were already sold out. Just got the Shining Wind 3D mousepads. On the other hand, I got the Kanna C80 bag set and a bunch of doujins. The autograph and handshake session with Suara is currently still in session. The best part of my day was the autograph by Kanna and Suara. Of course, a handshake with Suara in person is a once in a lifetime chance. She's really more gorgeous in person than I expected. Probably about 20-30 odd people queued up. Looking forward to the performance.
 Here's me signing off

A flustered Toyasaki Aki. For fans i guess... Victor, you watching this?

Shoko-tan 3 sizes... Not to be taken seriously, because it's done while she's wearing clothes

AFA11 updates + STGCC

LiSA, FLOW, May'n and Mizuki Ichirou are coming to AFA this year. Buchou and Aniki came back as expected but I didn't expect FLOW. I recall them coming over perform in Singapore though. LiSA is well a dream come true for me, after the Angel Beats and Girls Dead Monster fever
Regarding STGCC this weekend, I think I'll just check the Itou Shizuka section and be done with it

13.8.11

Final Fantasy Zero Shiki

So the Zero Shiki/Type 0 demo came out last Thursday, which I promptly downloaded off the Japanese PSN when I came home. As usual, the graphics are beautiful but the in-game polygons leave much to be desired. Now the demo feels like an improved Crisis Core with some changes

1. The ability to summon and unsummon weapons affects healing speed. HP is healed when characters stand around. Beats using cure magic or potions
2. MP can be restored from absorbing dead enemies. You gain colored Fantomas based on the final hit the enemy takes which can be used to upgrade your magic (more damage, less mp cost, faster casting etc) through the Altocrystarium menu. Another way is taking ether related potions
3. Kill Sight and Break Sight. A kind of Issen system from Onimusha where when damage is dealt before the enemy hits or when it's attack leaves it wide open, you deal major damage. A yellow (break sight) or red (kill sight) targeting icon will appear when the timing is right. Only possible when locked on to enemies
4. Special order. Tasks/trials that show up during missions. Some can be hard and rather annoying to do. It can range from not getting hit during the time limit, surving to x minutes, killing x enemies, do x kill sights. The good thing is that you can get items and buffs from completing it. Fail and your character dies
5. Summons. Sacrificing your character allows you to use your summon. Demo only allows Golem and Shiva. Having high HP and damage, they make the fights easy, but are only able to fight during a specified time. Only 40 seconds for you to get Shiva to freeze and dance your way while eliminating your enemies. EXP is only gained while summons kill things. Confirmed summons are Ifrit, Golem, Odin and Shiva
6. The team of Class Zero playable. The demo has 7 playable characters: Ace, Queen, Nine, Sice, King, Rem and Machina. Each character plays and fight differently, with their own skill tree abilities

I'm usually using Rem or Ace mostly, Rem's high magic ability makes taking out the robots a piece of cake. One of the main highlights of the demo is the ability to collect the summer outfits of the playable cast. I've collected 14 costumes that can be used in the main game once it comes out. Now the worst thing about this game without a doubt that many will agree with me, the camera angle need work. Not the normal camera angle but when your locked on and fighting a big enemy. Not seeing the floor and the area around you, you usually trying to evade evade out of harms way only to find yourself moving to a corner. 50% of my deaths are from the lock on camera. Word is the staff knows about it and are improving it for the game. Without that it's a pretty engaging game. War does make games big scale, but students at a magic academy fighting back against an empire that uses technology. From what I've seen, it looks like the country of Suzaku (where the crystal of Suzaku [magic] is housed) is getting beaten up pretty bad, only Class Zero is able to fend off against the enemy

Ace and Rem in their new costumes. Instead of the black, red and gold shoulders on their uniforms, the new one is black and white. i think I'm done with the demo now, all chars at lvl 20 (Rem, Ace and Queen at 24) Shiva at lvl 24, all skills that can be unlocked learned, about 20k gil. Now back to Queen's Gate i suppose. Darn, Chou Jigen game Neptune Mk2/ Hyper Dimension Neptune MK2 is coming out next week, with Black * Rock Shooter The Game coming out the week after

9.8.11

Queen's Gate Spiral Chaos

Queen's Gate is a cross-over game of sorts, with girls like Mai from King of Fighters, Iroha, Mina and Cham Cham from Samurai Spirits, Moetan, Tekken's Lili, Guilty Gear's Dizzy, Blazblue's Noel and so on.
The game improves on Queen's Blade Spiral Chaos by making the previous game's fighters playable and adding changes that mostly benefit male gamers and Jan. Since there are now so many characters, you're now able to select your party members. Currently at stage 13 or so, my team consists of mostly the Gate members: Alice, Maron, Mai, Dizzy, Iroha, Alleyne, Cham Cham, Lili and Ymir, Jan and Melpha for healing and support. Dizzy is literally a monster, with god class attack she kills and breaks armor parts and stripping female enemies with ease, but her defense, evasion and hit rate are rather poor. Iroha and Mai being the ninja type girls, they evade well and hit decently enough, Alleyne's stats are pretty high that she can take and deal damage while trying avoid attacks. I'm having more fun with this than I did with Queen's Blade
The Destiny Punish system/Heartbreak is really for perverts lol. By getting more Perfect Knock Outs, you get to upgrade a bracelet that can squirt colored liquid (green, red and white) when you get a succesful heartbreak. I suppose some people get  kick out of seeing their favorite Queen's Blade/Gate covered in white fluid and in torn clothes or broken armor

6.8.11

Busy months

Bought the VIP seat tickets for Suara's performance at ACME III. You get an autograph/ handshake session, tote bag, light stick, a free single, a souvenir and concert pamphlet. Couldn't resist it
During september there's the Scandal Asia Tour 2011 at the Lasalle College of the Fine Arts. While it was meant to be only on the 16th, a new show was recently added for the 17th. Being the fan I was, I bought the $90 tickets on Saturday
ACME III, STGCC (for Kishida Mel and seiyuu Itou Shizuka only), AFA 11, and that's not including games like Black * Rock Shooter, Tales of Xillia and Idolm@ster 2. Guess I'll be busy now with Catherine, Queen's Gate and subsequent playthroughs of Dragon Age and Dragon Age 2 for the PS3 trophies

28.7.11

Finally, Idolm@ster for the PS3!!

Hmmm, think I'll get the special box. The Idolm@ster anime series on Blu-ray, a special version of the 1st 2 episodes on Blu-ray, game soundtrack, PS3 game Gravure for you Vol.1 and the Idolm@ster 2 game. A whoppin 19,800 yen though but considering how expensive anime Blu-rays are it might be well worth it. Still a while before it gets released on Oct 27

Best anime OP/ED for this season? Yay or Nay?

Utsusemi by Shikata Akiko, the ED for Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi
A typical Shikata song, the style and vocals make the song an instant favorite, Release date is August 24
Dantalian no Shoko's OP reminds me of Elfen Lied's Lilium but the Shikata fanboy in me says this song takes the cake. Seems like Akiko-san is getting more songs to do for anime and games, what with Inori no Kanata from Tales of Symphonia and a few Umineko songs. I'm thankful for the encounter with the Ar Tonelico games and introducing a great singer/song writer that deserves more priase for her works

PS. Seems like Akiko-san is doing a main theme song for the movie Messiah, Lost Children
http://www.messiah-movie.jp/
This season has quite a few animes that I'm interested in, Ryu-ko-bu, Itsuma Tenma no Kuro Usagi, Idolm@ster, Dantalian no Shoko

7.7.11

7th Dragon 2020 Seiyuu Listing

According to 4gamer, there will be a total of 30 seiyuus voicing the characters, a rather high profile and famous cast I must say. As Gundam Seed's Dearka would put it: "Greato!"

The names I can recognise, off the bat that is:
Abe Atsushi, Ishida Akira, Ono Daisuke, Kamiya Hiroshi, Sakurai Takahiro, Sugita Tomokazu, Nakai Kazuya, Fukuyama Jun, Shichirou Miki, Kuwashima Houko, Satou Rina, Sawashiro Miyuki, Taketatsu Ayana, Tanaka Rie, Tamura Yukari, Chihara Minori, Toyoguchi Megumi, Toyosaki Aki, Hikasa Youko, Horie Yui, Mizuki Nana, Yuuki Aoi and Yukana

Now if you're free enough to check their profiles and faces, you'll notice that a good majority (every female seiyuu in there) all look pretty good. But wow, I think I like every female seiyuu found in the list, especially Sawashiro, Satou and Mizuki. I thought about getting the game but this new info is an extra bonus

2nd Super Robot Wars OG

Up since friday, but I was busy with inFamous and Alice: Madness Returns. The animations, the new awesome camera angles. Point of interest is the new, sharper and clearer cut-ins and sprites. My favorite parts were Ariel and the Flickerei Geist using  Revolving Stake, Cliana in the Blanc Neige purging the hands and docking with the new guns on the hand. Best parts were Joshua and Aile Chevalier using Cypher Sword and Kyosuke and Alteisen Reise using Revolving Bunker. The use of cockpit cut-ins, dynamic angles made me very impressed with the first PS SRW (Impact still wasn't so revolutionary as the first PS2 SRW game). One thing I just noticed is that the background zooms by much faster when the units are dashing or moving at high speed, very apparent when Alt uses the thrusters and boosters on the back of his unit. Another 3 months of waiting and the new PV should be more complete, with more of our favorite characters and units shown
EDIT: changed youtube video to a higher quality version, that also cuts off the 2nd half that promotes the inspectors series

Idols - Miku and IM@S

Imai Asami performing Nemuri Hime from Idolm@ster 2. Great voice and control, she's still the main reason why I still try to keep up to date with Idolm@ster. Might want to get, but I heard it's got a hefty price tag

http://5pb.jp/mikunohi/
Miku Thanks Gving Day concert is out on DVD, Blue-ray. Damn can't believe my info-net didn't pick this up. I heard about one coming out but I didn't expect it to be out since 4th quarter last year

Now performing, with costume changes (it's called modules in the Project Diva games), live band performing the music and with Miku singing and dancing. Definitely much much better than the performance they showed at AFA. On closer inspection, it seems that a screen is used to project Miku, not some hologram. Well a project screen big enough to her to move around and dance. The movements and dance steps are real enough to make me believe that she's really performing instead of a virtual idol
Due to my currently obsessive playing schedule, I also didn't notice until this week that Miku is performing at LA
http://mikunopolis.com/
http://danceroid.jp/index.php
Danceroid girls... hey, I remember one of the girls who did the dance for Luka Luka Night Fever, Aikawa Kozue. Her dance was pretty spot-on and fluid

Aikawa Kozue dancing Luka Luka Night Fever. 2nd one is a dance battle of west vs east. As the original dance choreographer for the song, her moves look much better. Kozue gets point for control, precision and cuteness, the other ones the sexiness one. Back to the Miku LA concert topic, why does Japan and US get all the nice events... oh well, at least Singapore gets AFA, I shouldn't be really complaining so much

Asura's Wrath Trailers

New Capcom game that kind of brings action games to the next level... basically enemies bigger than a planet that try to finger and poke you to death. Having high hopes regarding the game

Another planet sized boss that tries to finger our Asura

A boss fight video. I am reminded of why Dragon Ball was so awesome back then

10.6.11

ブラック★ロックシューター THE GAME OP / Black★Rock Shooter The Game OP

Animation by ufotable. Sakamoto Maaya does the voice for Black Rock and Sawashiro Miyuki does Gray. Opening is No Scared by One OK Rock. Let's see, nice song and animations' much better than that OVA which was somewhat of a letdown. After months of waiting without news, the game looks like it ought to be interesting, maybe it'll play similar to 3rd Birthday?
EDIT: REALLY nice bike and plane, the apostles all have rather nice designs, as expected of huke
A HD 720 version of the same video on nico nico: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm14702583

E3

It's a fight between Sony's Playstation Vita and Nintendo's Wii U. Vanillaware is making a new side scrolling game, Dragon's Crown that really reminds me of the old Dungeon and Dragons game for the arcade. The new Devil May Cry seems somewhat lackluster. Prototype 2, Blazblue Continuum Shift 2 for the Vita, a new Tomb Raider game, a Shin Sangoku Musou game for the Vita, a new Zelda game, Dark Souls...

After Odin's Sphere for the PS2 and Oboro Muramasa for the Wii, Vanillaware still retains their unique art style and music. PS3 and Vita can co-op together apparently. The trailer seems rather interesting, although the proportions of the amazon and sorceress are rather amusing (giant tits and asses)

7.6.11

Shikata Akiko's new CD voice blog

Her talking voice is pretty nice to listen to. I feel healed just listening to her voice, just like her music. Somehow I'm reminded of Noto Mamiko, at times it feels like Mamiko-sama is talking instead, lol

31.5.11

New Tales of Xillia PV: System

A new look at the new tales system... Chats can happen while moving around, chats can also happen during battle. That's quite interesting, makes everything more interactive and gets you more involved. DR-LMBS (Double Raid Linear Motion Battle System) lets you pair up with a partner to hammer on the enemies, and lets you use exclusive moves (attacks from previous tales games such as Ryuuko Metsugazan and new ones like Scarlet Fang). Milla seems an interesting character to use, swords and magic. The skit at the end is a reference to Harry Potter?

25.5.11

This season's anime

Among Dog Days, Hidan no Aria and Steins;Gate, Steins;Gate is without a doubt the most interesting of the bunch. Okarin is a somewhat delusional self-named Mad Scientist who somehow manages to make a time machine (out of a microwave) and travel through different timelines/ or shall I say world line. Basically he's moved to 2 different futures by changing the past in some way. Upon contact with a time traveller, John Titor, he's now been charged with changing the future and becoming the messiah

EL Psy Congroo!!

More Meruru videos... again?

Another new video... with some gameplay

Scandal - Haruka

Bought the single on Friday... Haruka's a prety nice song, used for the animated movie Tofu Kouzo

Super Robot Wars for PS3!!!

Official Site. The Limited Edition Complete BD Box worth 41,790 yen? LOL

Some news and screens. Seems like they're adding D and MX mains in, some upgrades for existing units. Word is the backgrounds will be 3D, and the dynamic angles will be much greater than what we've seen

EDIT: The official site is up with story, characters, mechanics. After seeing the screens under mechanics, the graphics and dynamic camera angles are unlike any suparobo games out currently. Then again, no suparobo game really been done in HD that blends 2d and 3d so nicely together. NO, the xbox suparobo games don't count

18.5.11

Playstation 4?

Is it for real? My brother sent me this last month and I still have a hard time believing it... Think I'll worry more about the NGP rather than the PS4
While Sony is working round the clock regarding the hack into the PS Network, I'm hoping it'll be up end of the month or next month

17.5.11

AKB48 theatre in SIngapore

AKB48 shop selling goods and merchandise. Next live performances are 29 May, 12 June and 26 June. All on SUndays... ARGH!!! That's the day I have Japanese classes. I'd like to an least watch one live performance by them

More Meruru videos

The prologue movie, a summary of the events of Atelier Rorona and Atelier Totori

Battle movie. Hmm, Totori panty flash and Mimi wearing tight pants... haha. Still the system is an improvement over Totori

14.5.11

Evolution - Atelier Rorona to Atelier Totori to Atelier Meruru

The Alchemist of Arland series 1-3 main characters. Atelier Totori takes places supposedly 5 years after Atelier Rorona. Atelier Meruru should take place 6 years after the events of Atelier Totori

Rororina Fryxell aka Rorona in Atelier Rorona. 14 years old. Voiced by Kadowaki Mai, who is known for her role as Ilyasviel von Einzbern in Fate/stay night

Top is Rorona from Atelier Totori. She's 22 years old in Totori. My favorite version of Rorona. Bottom is Rorona from Atelier Meruru. Age-wise she should be 28. Most likely an alchemy acident happened and she became small. A clumsy but genius alchemist who loves her student Totori.

Starting on top we have the lead of Atelier Totori, Totooria Helmold aka Totori. Age is 13 during Atelier Tototi and she becomes 19 during Atelier Meruru, which is at the bottom. She's become a well-known alchemist and she still hasn't fixed her problem of saying harsh comments. Flat chest 6 years later but still her character illust is very much to my liking. Voiced by Nazuka Kaori, who did Eureka in Eureka Seven

Mimi Houlier Von Schwarzlank, best friend of Totori and the tsudere character in Totori. 14 in Totori and 20 in Meruru. Like Totori herself, the new Mimi is done very nicely. She looks better when her top is not completely covered. Voice by Iguchi Yuka, who is very well known for her as Index in To Aru Majutsu no Index

The lead of Atelier Meruru and alchemy student of Totori, Merurulince Rede Arls, the princess of the kingdom of Arls. Initial toughts seems like the sporty type and the act first, think later type

Here's a video of some areas in action. As expected music is top notch, graphics and frame rate have also been improved, looks gorgeous and smooth. Just another 1 & 1/2 months of waiting

No More Heroes Red Zone

Now uncensored with full blood and new stuff like new boss battles. First press gets you the Slyvia 18+ pack DLC liek the picture shown above. It's good considering I've wanted to get the game but been holding it off. Will it still have the dual voices that were available for the PS3 version of No More Heroes

GirlDemo Live 2010

Gotta buy it! No doubt it'll be great to watch

17.4.11

New look

So I went ahead and changed the template. Added a background and moved the links that were at the top to the side... Doesn't look too bad in my opinion but there can still be improvements, especially the odd and fat spacing at the ride side
Yes, I spent quite some time reading and some bits of skipping Fortissimo EXA. It definitely left an quite an impression what with the Nagisa twitter wallpaper I'm using now. Sadly, Nagisa fights only twice in the whole game but she gains skills really fast and has some pretty sick skills

Sure, her stats are somewhat lacking but she more that makes up for her abilities. To compare with somebody in a battle type game, I'd say she's the closest to Saber. The knight style, golden sword although she doesn't get enough battle time. But sadly who will win the battles is pretty obviously. The loser dies or rather disappears, so the one with the most uber powers will always win, that's why Reiji and Sakura survived. Reiji's Da Capo ranks high when compared among other hax abilities from other games like Shirou UBW and tracing powers, Shiki's Death Eyes (Tsukihime and Kara no Kyokai's)... this skill alone makes Reiji invincible (even with skills that kill him) as long as he has mana. It resets time back to a maximum duration of 24 hours. Essentially it's like saying the attack never hit me or it never happended. The epilogue made up for "kill off everyone, even my favorite Ryuichi and Nagisa), when Fortissimo, the ultimate magic is used to set things back before the whole "let's fight and kill each other to protect our most precious things". Plenty of light shows and beam spams, with attacks taken from Norse mythology (Laevateinn, Thor, Tyrfing). Momiji's Grimoire, the crystals are named after the Latin names of seven sins Avaritia, Superbia, Gula etc. PS. The black knights in 11eyes also possessed the same names. Interesting mythology lesson and info while playing EXA

This is a nice review on EXA and does shed some light on the true route details

Omake. Battle Digest of some of the battles.

Chou Jigen Game Neptune MK-II

Story? What happens if the Goddesses lost. It's now up to Team Loli Goddesses to save the day!

Left is Nepgear, the Purple Sister (a reference to the Game Gear system it seems) and on right in Yuni/Uni, the Black Sister (most likely the PSP). The White Sisters are the twins Rom and Ram which are shown in the siloconera link (the ds or the 3ds?) Yes, its all a reference to the handheld consoles systems

MOE!!! OVERDOSE!!! Instant preorder!
I'll play it when it comes out. Seems the game is getting an August release date

Leaf/Aquaplus hard at work

To Heart 2 DX Plus or just To Heart 2 PS3 ver. The game should be using the Motion Potrait System the company used for White Album Ps3 ver, which was a good part of the game. Slightly different from the one Compile Heart (Aquaplus was more natural to me), it made interaction with the characters more realistic, the moving hair, mouth, eyes etc. For sure, I'll get it when it comes out

Once known as Final Dragon Chronicle ~ Guilty Requiem ~ that came with the Manaka de Ikuno! game, it's now a standalone game and has been renamed as Dungeon Travelers. It's a 1st person dungeon crawler game where navigation is an old Wolfenstein game. Level up, class change, get weapons and armor, new party members, switch members etc

3 new game projects: Utawarerumono 2, Tears to Tiara 2 and Jasmine. Leaf fans already know about Utaware and ToT series. ToT looks interesting enough but Utaware lacks something, Well, I'm one of the people who prefer the Amaduyu style from back then. According to my info, both games are coming out for the PS3

Extreme Project Diva songs that are somewhat ridiculous

Gameplay videos that make you question whether the players are human, and how many hours were spent perfecting it

Disapearance is a rather favorite song of mine, although I have absolutely no idea what Miku is singing... I thought this was the worst Sega could do but boy, was I wrong. So very very wrong

From 1:30 onwards, chaos ensues... What's left is probably aching fingers and a sense of gaming godliness and pride when one gets a perfect no miss run

Idolm@ster 2. Project Fairy (Miki, Hibiki and Takane) singing Little Match Girl. Seriously this may be the only reason why I want to get the Xbox360. Good songs, nice and smooth dance animations and a whole bunch of idols to produce

Mega au Toki by Chihaya (CV: Imai Asami)
The main reason why I took interest in Idolm@ster was Asami's voice, which is somewhat deep and powerful, a voice somewhat similar to say... Hikasa Yoko

Eroge music

Ero games can have some pretty famous names doing songs... I mean we have names like yozuca, cooRie, Shimotsuki Haruka, Sakakibara Yui, Katakiri Rekka, I've Sound (including Kotoko, Kawada Mami, Lia and Shimamiya Eiko) and plenty others. Heck I even remember fripSide doing some songs for a game before they became big doing "only my railgun"

11eyes OP - Lunatic Tears by Ayane. She also sang Arrival of Tears for the 11eyes anime, which is just as awesome but sucked due to the ending. At least the game had Kakeru fighting Liselotte and trashing her, unlike that lame anime ending we got (well Kakeru got to sleep with Misuzu in the last few episodes)

Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate's OP - INITIATIVE by Kawada Mami. Yes our favorite Shana and Index singer does sing for eroges. I mean she sang for songs like Eclipse and Immoral long before she broke into the anime world

Kanojyo Tachi no Ryugi's OP - Red reduction division by fripSide. Yes the song has fripSide written all over it. Though I like their style now better but it's still a pretty good song

Fortissimo EXA OP - fortissimo-the ultimate crisis- by fripSide. Sure I recall posting this song before but I didn't expect it to the OP song for EXA. Was expecting another song by Yousei Teikoku or fripSide

Kisaragi Gold★Star OP - Rolling Star☆彡by Larva Stage Planning. A really nice song made by the I've Sound people and Kotoko

(「・ω・)「 ぎゃおー (「・ω・)「 ぎゃおー

Kisaragi Gold★Star Insert Song - 狼男が恋をした (Oogami otoko ga koi wo shita)
Completely addictive, I can't stop listening to this song since I heard this song. Gyao!! Gyao!!

More gaming...

Shi Mazinger will be AWESOME!!! The new Kouji is so much more hot-blooded and screams much better. Double Dancougar in the game too. LOL at the Gurren Lagann cannonball attack. Nice bounce animation from Yoko and cut-in from Aoi

Still wondering whether to buy Ar Tonelico 3 when I already have the JP version. The artbook is rather tempting. As usual Utau Oka -Tilia- is really beautiful, great sound quality and Shikato Akiko is my music goddess

Meruru no Atelier, Arland no Renkinjutsushi 3. Loli Rorona, a beautiful 19 year old Totori (still with her Delicious Flat Chest haha) and a new main character, Meruru, Totori's apprentice
Man, I'm busy as it is, what with Dragon Age 2, Disgaea 4, L@ve Once -Mermaid's Tear-, Shin Sangoku Musou 6, Sengoku Musou 3 Z and Agarest Senki 2. There's SRW Z 2 Hakai Hen coming in April, Meruru in June, I'll overheat from playing

15.2.11

SRW Z 2 PV, B★RS Game PV

Shin Mazinger looks awesome, so does Getter Robo Armageddon. Gurren Lagann, Votoms and Macross F ought to have some great animations. Of course, for the reappearing units, the attacks seem pretty normal since it's been reused form SRWZ. Here's hoping to Rand and Setsuko appearing if there aren't any new banpresto originals

B★RS Promo 1. A shooter like The 3rd Birthday?

B★RS Promo 2
White ★ Rock Shooter? Still seems pretty cool design though. The Premium Box is sooo tempting to get... Pretty high profile seiyuu cast - Sakamoto Maaya, Sawashiro Miyuki, Nakahara Mai, Sugita Tomokazu, Hikasa Youko and Shimoda Asami. Animation is by ufotable? Sign me up right away!

3.2.11

Black ★ Rock Shooter The Game

Black ★ Rock Shooter The Game. I might get the Limited Edition set

Malicious PV4. A short game, but pretty damn awesome in my opinion

Seriously, music sounds a lot like the Resident Evil movie. especially the main menu song. A dead ringer for that red queen song in the RE movie. But it's a very good game, with great music and lighting

31.1.11

Malicious and Dead Nation

Playing Malicious and Dead Nation. Both are downloaded from Playstation Network. Malicious costs around 11 Singapore Dollars . Dead Nation is around 20 dollars. Malicious is action game where each stage you fight a boss and the minions, defeating the boss grants you the boss' powers. A short and small game but music is rather good
Dead Nation is a zombie survival game that somewhat feels similar to Left for Dead but still plays completely different. There's a solo campaign, co-op campaign (2 player mode) and online co-op. With online support, the game keeps track of your kills as well as each the total kill counts each country has. Singapore is currently ranked 29 out of 56 countries listed in the global ranking system

Anime for 2011

Shinonono Houki from Infinite Stratos. The tsundere childhood friend. Voiced by Hikasa Yoko (K-ON's Mio) who also sang the ending song. Let's see, our male protagonist is the only male capable of piloting an IS (Infinite Stratos) in a world where only females are able to use them. He goes to the IS academy where the story takes place. So battles with powered suits are a given. Saw the first two episodes, wasn't too bad. Battles scenes were done well, some seiyuus I recognised such as Hikasa, Yukana and Toyoguchi Megumi. Personally I'll be sure to continue watching it. Up next would be to try out Gosick and Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? Couldn't resist the urge to buy KoreZombie's light novel, I mean it's drawn by Kobuichi and Muririn and the plot seems rather interesting. Genius Masou Shoujo, Expressionless and silent necromancer, Vampire ninja are the main females staying with him, a zombie.

Kore wa Zombie Desu ka promo

GOSICK promo. Gothic lolita Sherlock Holmes anyone?

Infinite Stratos promo

Hidan no Aria promo. Artwork is Kobuichi/Muririn? Eagerly awaiting this. From what I've read, it seems the director is the one who was involved in Shana and the seiyuu for Aria is Kugimiya Rie herself, Shana's seiyuu

New Games!

WooHoo! New Alicesoft game. Daiteikoku from the name should follow in the footsteps on Daiakuji and Daibanchou. Release date is currently April 28 if I remember it correctly

Dissdia 012. Playable Yuna lol

SRW Z 2? For PSP? GURREN LAGANN??? Gundam 00 and Code Geass? Ah man, no Full Metal Panic for a console version? I think FMP will fit well with Geass, like what happended in Another Century's Episode R. The big question is how BROKEN will Gurren be? Can you use SP for the sub pilots?
Sangoku Musou 7 screens. I think it shouldn't do that badly... sales-wise

Sangoku Musou 7's Sun Shang Xiang. Hmm, can't say whether I like the new design or not, but I think it's better than her costume in 6

Sangoku Musou 7's Yue Ying. Back to the using the spear/haldberd. Can't say I like the new design
